At our college, we have a contemporary and innovative library service charter that is integral to the endeavors of the College of Veterinary Medicine’s community. This charter determines the role of our library and outlines the ways of how we best serve our students. We are using this charter in setting standards, measuring performance in delivering services to the students, and maintaining the focus on student requirements. Thus, at the library, we are committed to:
-Provide the library with at least one hard copy of all prescribed textbooks (for all courses taught at our college) as recommended by academic staff.
-Allow eligible students to access the appropriate electronic information resources through our library.
-Maintain a cooperative relationship between library stuff and students.
-Supply students with a recent and accurate catalogue includes library belongings.
-Offer printing and photocopying services.
-Provide the students with a reservation system for booking the library items in specific timeline.
-Re-shelve the returned library materials in their allocated places within 24 hours after receiving them from the borrowers.
-Maintain confidentiality of student information used by the library.
-Equip students with a guidance to let them follow the rules of library use, how to obtain information resources, and offering them a literacy training in consultation with the academic staff.
